Karneol Viola Strings

Warchal Karneol Viola strings are also made with a synthetic core. These new strings take about 3 days of tuning and playing in before they reach their designed and optimum performance levels. A nice string set and very affordable. While a synthetic A comes as part of their Karneol viola sets, there is also a "steel" core A string option below.

Notes on size and ordering: Warchal has two sizes, Small and Large which they size by the vibrating string length and not the length of the back.  The vibrating string length is the string distance between the nut and the tip of the bridge. 

Small is for a vibrating string length of 36-38cm, or 14-15". 

Large is for a vibrating string length of 38-40cm, or 15-15.3"

To be certain that you get the correct size, please take a quick moment to measure your string length.  (Most violas use the "Small" size, but again, it is not the length of the back, but vibrating string length.
