To ensure optimal performance and avoid string damage, it is vital to select your set based on vibrating string length (the distance from the nut to the bridge) rather than the instrument’s body size:
Medium: 14″–15″ (36–38 cm)
Long: 15″–15.75″ (38–40 cm)
Note: If your viola measures exactly 38 cm, we recommend the Medium size. Most standard violas fall within the Medium category.
